To find the data used in the table on the IllinoisOpenGov site go to "Payroll" and search for all the data for 2008. Then download the search results by clicking on the Excel or CSV icon below the results (note: Excel 2007 or higher is necessary to download the full results due to Excel limitations). Make sure to exclude retirees. You can then sort the data into a pivot table by department to see the results.
